What Is the Business Study Group — the BSG?
The BSG is a group of business owners who meet monthly to share, discuss, and learn about how to improve and grow their companies. The BSG is a supportive community of entrepreneurs committed to the idea that building a successful business requires them to work on their business and not just in it. BSG members share the notion that we can sustain and grow our businesses more effectively and successfully when we share and learn from each other. We do better together.
What Goes on at BSG Meetings?
Each two-hour meeting includes a 45-minute session on one aspect of business important to the group, such as:
· How to create a business and financial plan
· How to manage accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll
· How to recruit & hire your first or tenth employee
· Where & how to find new customers
· How to market your business
· How to stay focused and avoid burnout
· How to think about time management
Sessions are often supplemented with printed material, articles, and references for further reading. During the balance of each meeting, BSG members share their business successes and challenges in a roundtable setting and learn from the stories and experiences of other members. Meetings are limited to 8 — 10 BSG members or guests.
